Alex is an ASHA-certified and state licensed speech-language pathologist proudly serving the vibrant communities of Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg. With a wealth of experience spanning from infants to those over 100 years old, she brings a versatile approach to therapy. Her diverse background includes working in hospitals, pediatric outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, assisted and independent living centers, memory care units, preschools, and home health settings.

Alex earned her Master of Arts in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Central Florida. A Florida native, she initially swapped the Sunshine State for the stunning mountains of Colorado, where she honed her skills with both pediatric and adult populations. Now back in Florida, she’s excited to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and their families.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Alex believes in building genuine connections with her clients. She prioritizes understanding their interests and strives to utilize their strengths to drive therapy sessions with efficacy and compassion. She believes in the power of collaboration, with the goal of working closely with patients and caregivers to identify and achieve their specific goals in a naturalistic environment. Through ongoing caregiver training, she empowers caregivers to actively engage in the therapeutic process, while fostering a holistic approach to speech, language, and cognitive development. Alex holds the following certifications: Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention, SPEAK OUT! and Loud Crowd, FL Developmental Disabilities, Dementia Capable Care, MBSImP.

When she’s not working, Alex loves to travel, enjoy time on the water, volunteer, and bake delicious treats.
